Lab informatics firm Sapio Sciences said Monday that it has entered a comarketing agreement with Waters.

Under the deal, the companies will co-market Sapio's lab information management system (LIMS) software with Waters' waters_connect software for liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry-based quantitation.

According to Baltimore-based Sapio, combining the two systems will facilitate workflow efficiencies and allow labs to handle larger sample volumes with greater speed and precision, streamlining operations and improving collaboration among lab personnel.

Financial and other details of the agreement were not disclosed.
