How time fast! Clinical laboratory provider and national business were supported by PARTY and hoped China become more powerful in the future. Whatever in innovation of own brand and research capacity building, whatever laboratory medicine reagents and producing of laboratory medicine instruments, had been changed by the reform and opening-up. When people see the speed, accurate and modern current situation of test and analysis in laboratory of medical and health institutions, who will think about the operations of manual preparation of reagents and manual analysis of samples thirty years ago?
Thirty years ago, Doctor Li Tiaosheng who is Chinese famous old clinical laboratory researcher set up Suzhou clinical laboratory center in Sushou Anhui province. To very lagging clinical laboratory situation and difficult situation of buying Chemical reagents and compounding test reagents, they invented medical laboratory kit for basic hospitals. This kit had applied reagents like microscope, Wright dye, platelet diluent and simple reagents like ACT. It was supported to basic hospital, and had set up the clinical laboratory industry. At the same time, some unit like Shanghai hunan chemical room, the second institute in academy of military sciences produced some products like ponceau dye and fetal calf serum to sell in the market. In the beginning of 1980s, by the speed up of opening up , Chinese clinical laboratory industry like KHB£¬Rsbio, Shanghai long march , biology institute, BHKT, Beijing Zhongsheng, Guangdong Zhongshan, Shenzhen Nanyuan, Taixing etc appeared and grew.
In 30 years, as advanced reagents and instruments continuous appeared, the working conditions transformed from manual deployment reagents to commercial standardized reagents, and the test and analysis became automation and instrumented. So all of these will promote the development of clinical laboratory industry and economic. By a preliminary estimate, today economic income of all levels of medical instruments’ laboratoty increase from less than 500,000,000 in the early of reform and opening-up to more than 100,000,000,000. The related industry that improve these inputs involve laboratory medicine industry, chemical industry, plastics, instrumentation, R & D, and the output is dozens of billion Yuan. There are large active roles in the building of national economic and human health industry.
After 30 years’ development, clinical laboratory industry become industry system of multidisciplinary. In the early 1980s, a major of companies that engaged clinical laboratory reagents and instruments such as Anhui Caohu health school reagent station, Jinan epidemic prevention station’s reagent station, reagent station in the first center hospital of Tianjing appeared. By a preliminary estimate, there are more than 500 enterprises that work as the producing of clinical laboratory reagents, instruments and suppliers. And there are more than 1500 enterprises that work as operating of clinical laboratory reagents and instruments. In March 1990, by the initiative of Li Yingze from the first center hospital of Tianjing, Chen Zuoxiu from the first hospital of Wuhan, Cui Peide from Jinan epidemic prevention station, Jiang Ji’an from Xi’an medical science and technology institute, Liu Yingzheng from Anshan medical chemistry institute, Yuan Pujin from Wuhai bio-tech, Zhou Guoqi from Jiangxi people hospital, Zhu Shaorong and Xia Yetao from Shanghai, Song Haibo from Anhui provincial hospital, Lu Lanfeng and Hua Jishun from Beijing, the first national clinical laboratory industry meeting was held in Haikou 1990 to concentrated show the development and result of Chinese clinical laboratory industry. There were 196 deputies that joined the meeting. They represented 96 enterprises of production and operation to communicate. So the meeting that held per year became 6th clinical laboratory provider and blood transfusion equipment Expo, the products have reagents and equipments for kinds of application field like Biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, clinical chemistry, blood test. And there are more than one thousand enterprises of production and operation, several thousand professional audiences.
From 1975 that Suzhou medical laboratory center was held and produced simple test products, to 1984 that health department published the first document of vitro test reagents from 1992 that the first national vitro test reagent management meeting was held in Beijing to1996 that the thesis ‘national vitro test reagent” which is the first theme of vitro test reagent management was publish in Chinese hospital management magazine from 1998 that Kehua which is test industry enterprise was successful listed to 2002 that CACLP was set up by ministry of Civil Affairs and health’s approving. From these, we can know the track of national medical laboratory industry’s development, and the development of medical laboratory industry makes a tremendous contribution to human health.
Clinical laboratory medicine can’t be out with medical laboratory industry now, the development of medical test industry promote the development of clinical medical test application and medical test management industry. Medical test industry, clinical medical test application and medical test management are the important integral part of medical test subject, the advanced and development of them are the basic assurance of improving the development of medical test subject. Our careers are not finishing, tomorrow will be better. Let’s work hard together for human health industry and the development of national medical test science.
