BGI recently announced that it has cooperated again with PacBio, which is the leader of the real-time single-molecule sequencing technology (SMRT), to purchase Asia’s first Sequel sequencing system. It also has the follow-up purchase plan, and will include the SMRT sequencing platform into its global operations. Earlier this year, BGI had introduced PacBio®RS II sequencing system, and this cooperation again reflects the continuing endorsement of BGI SMRT sequencing technology.
