Medtronic and Samsung Develop the Implantable App

Medtronic recently announced that it has collaborated with Samsung and developed the implantable App for regulating the nerve. In June of this year, the two companies had together developed a portable smart devices for diabetes. Though the medical device giant Medtronic’s  audience is not ordinary consumers, it still hopes to cooperate with Samsung to integrate the company's existing medical devices into smart consumer devices.

Based on the current partnership, Medtronic Inc. and Samsung Electronics America, Inc. will together develop the digital medical solutions for neuro modulation patient , including the treatment for chronic pain, movement disorders, incontinence and other diseases.

Under normal circumstances, nerve regulating device should be with a dedicated controller. And the process of downloading, analysis and sharing of device-related data is very complicated. To better simplify this process is the original purpose that the two companies made the design.

Dave Rhew, the chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Electronics, said in a statement that Samsung is currently committed to deeply understand how people use high technology to provide innovative health care. These solutions will provide advanced and convenient tools to help patients better manage their health, and will be used to transmit secure data to doctors.
