AACC has announced that it is changing its name to the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM).

The name change, initiated by the board of directors, was approved in a member vote during spring. The organization says the new name more accurately reflects the diversity of its members, being inclusive of all professionals working within and adjacent to clinical laboratories as well as clinical chemists.

The new name will be formally rolled out during the opening of the 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo in Anaheim, CA, from July 23 to July 27.
