Canadian diagnostics firm MedMira said on Friday that its Vyra COVID-19 Antigen Test has been CE marked and is now available in countries that accept the designation.
The test leverages the Halifax, Nova Scotia-based firm's Rapid Vertical Flow technology to detect the SARS-CoV-2 virus in swab samples. The technology enables the formation of specific antigen-antibody reactions for the capture of biomarkers in sample types including whole blood, serum, and plasma, according to MedMira's website.
In February, the company's RevealCOVID-19 Plus Total Antibody Test was CE marked.
