On June 28, the National Health Commission of the PRC released the "COVID-19 Prevention and Control Plan (Ninth Edition)". Compared with the eighth edition, the following revisions were made:
1. Optimize and adjust the quarantine period and management of risk personnel
2. Unified standards for the delineation of control areas and risk areas
3. Improve epidemic monitoring requirements
4. Optimizing regional PCR detection strategies
" Optimize and adjust the quarantine period and management of risk personnel" are as follows:
Adjust the quarantine time of close contacts and inbound personnel from "14 days of centralized quarantine + 7 days of home health monitoring" to "7 days of centralized quarantine + 3 days of home health monitoring"; PCR testing measures have been adjusted from " testing on the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 14th days of centralized quarantine, collection of nasopharyngeal swabs, and double sampling & testing before release" to "testing on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th day of centralized quarantine and the 3rd day of home health monitoring, collection of oropharyngeal swabs", double sampling & testing are not required before the release.
The control measures of close contacts have been adjusted from "7-day centralized quarantine " to "7-day home health monitoring ", and testing on the 1st, 4th, and 7th days.
