Recently, Jack Ma participated in Xiamen International Trade Investment Forum and made an address with a topic of Business Is Harder But More Opportunities.

Ma has started to participate the Davos Forum since 2011, in that time the participators debated the past of globalization and believed that the real globalized trade should benefit to more people. However, in the past 20 years, globalization is only a half-globalization at best for multinational enterprise which belonged to developed countries and large enterprises. The future 30 years will be the year with the internet and traditional business combination, and will redefine the golden era of marketization and globalization to reduce the global trade threshold. How to benefit to developing countries, middle and small-sized enterprises and consumers will become the opportunity and challenge for the next 30 years.

In the opportunity and challenge, “China should not become a country only sell things but a country takes innovation and pleasantly surprise to the world constantly. Traditional manufacturing industry will usher huge revolution in the next 3 decades, if it says that the past 20 years belonged to internet enterprises and the next 20 years will belong to traditional enterprises, thus a fission and restructuration depends on internet will take innovation to traditional enterprises.

Meanwhile, Ma mentioned an enormous opportunity contains in China rural area. “The big beneficiary for Made in China belongs to the farmers in remote poverty-stricken rural areas, so the future urbanization must be urbanized in rural. Today it` s happier to see these rural E-commerce, we believe that today` s farmers and all of the farmers of the world will own cell phones which will make an earth-shaking change to people.
